ScanDeLuxe.nl, for example, is lovely. Lots of good Voguealike stuff there. Shine Girls and SuperPosters are Maximesque pin ups. Addict Scan, the same. Supermodels in the House is pretty self-explanatory, Her Famed Good Looks is more of the same, The Seventh is just very well done indeed. Then there’s Scan Host, for your own Scansite needs. Art and Scans specialises in wallpaper. Bwgreyscale has over fifteen thousand scans on file. [Ben Hammersley.com]

An Artist’s Junkyard of Dreams

Wired News — October 18, 2004.
PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wisconsin — From the highway the 50-foot-high Forevertron is barely visible, with just the top of the antigravity, catapult-me-straight-to-God machine poking up above the roadside foliage. It’s housed in what appears at first to be an enormous junkyard surrounded by a forest. But look carefully at the piles of rusted machinery and metal, and you’ll slowly begin to see dozens of fantastic constructions built from bits and pieces of old machines, peeking out from odd corners and cavorting in the forest clearings.
