Professor Rollin Thomas Chamberlin ascended Tête Creek in 1924, and made several climbs in the area, including the first ascent of Mount Sir Wilfrid Laurier. He described the trip in “Exploration of the Cariboo Mountains of B.C.” (Philadelphia: Bulletin of the Geographical Society, 1927).
